The Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling within the Department of Educational Sciences at Ondokuz Mayıs University hosted a distinguished internationally recognized scholar within the scope of the Erasmus Program.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Robert Opora, Head of the Department of Social Pathology and Resocialization at the Institute of Pedagogy, University of Gdańsk, was a guest of our department as part of a teaching mobility activity. Known for his studies on prison systems and social pathology, the Polish academic met with undergraduate and graduate students of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling program during classes.
During his visit, Dr. Opora shared international perspectives on working with at-risk groups and social adaptation processes. He also held discussions with the academic staff of our department regarding potential collaborative projects.
Representatives of the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling emphasized that such global academic visits will continue to increase in order to enhance educational quality and advance accreditation goals in line with international standards.
