As part of the staff mobility activities carried out under the BAHAR (Rehabilitation Model for Dependent Patients) Consortium, which is successfully coordinated by our University's Erasmus Office, Associate Professor Kemal ÖZCAN, a faculty member of the Guidance and Psychological Counseling (GPC) Program within the Department of Educational Sciences, visited the Institute of Pedagogy at the University of Gdańsk, one of Poland’s well-established higher education institutions.

Within the framework of the teaching mobility program, Associate Professor Kemal ÖZCAN delivered lectures and seminars on Behavioral Addictions, one of the most significant psychological and social issues of our time. With strong participation from students, the sessions addressed global approaches to addiction prevention and intervention as well as psychological counseling processes, providing participants with an international perspective on the subject.

The visit extended beyond teaching activities and served as an important platform for strengthening academic ties between the two universities. During meetings with administrators and academics from the University of Gdańsk, discussions were held on potential collaborative research projects, joint academic publications, and institutional partnerships in the field of addiction studies.

This productive visit has made a direct contribution to the internationalization vision of our GPC Program, faculty mobility initiatives, and ongoing curriculum development efforts focused on addiction-related issues. We congratulate Associate Professor Kemal ÖZCAN on this valuable achievement and wish him continued success in his academic endeavors.
