Spearheaded by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, the Family Academy Program was organized in cooperation with Ondokuz Mayıs University, Samsun Provincial Directorate of Health, Samsun Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, Samsun Police Department, and Samsun Provincial Mufti’s Office, with the aim of strengthening family structure and promoting a healthy society.
The training sessions were held between November 18 and December 26 at Hazinedarzade Süleymanpaşa Cultural House and attracted great interest from families. The program covered topics such as parenting responsibilities, family communication, maternal health, and child development, delivered by expert academics and professionals in their respective fields.
From the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Prof. Dr. Hatice Kumcağız, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kemal Özcan, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Nurdan Doğru Çabuker participated as trainers in the program.
The program concluded with a certificate ceremony held on January 9, 2026, at the Historic Taşhan Restaurant.
