| ALES Score: Minimum 55 for applicants with a master’s degree; minimum 80 for those applying directly with a bachelor’s degree (Equally Weighted score type). Foreign Language Requirement: Minimum score of 55 from YDS/ÜDS or an equivalent language exam recognized by the Interuniversity Board. Evaluation Criteria for Admission: ALES Score: 50%, Undergraduate GPA: 30%, and Interview Score: 20%. Applicants who do not attend the interview are automatically considered unsuccessful. A minimum total score of 65 is required for placement. Candidates above the threshold are ranked based on scores and placed according to available quotas. In the case of a tie, the candidate with the higher ALES score is prioritized. |

| The Phd Program in Guidance and Psychological Counseling includes both theoretical and practical coursework. Courses are delivered in technology-integrated classrooms. The program admits approximately 8–10 students per semester. The program, conducted in the Faculty of Education at Ondokuz Mayıs University Kurupelit Campus, is supported by 4 Professors, 3 Associate Professors, 2 Assistant Professors, and 3 Research Assistants with PhD degrees |
| OCCUPATIONAL PROFILES OF GRADUATES |

| Graduates serve as doctoral-level psychological counselors in: Schools under the Ministry of National Education, Guidance and Research Centers, Private educational institutions, Ministries of Justice and Health, Law enforcement institutions, and other public and private organizations. Additionally, graduates may work as faculty members in higher education institutions. |

| Graduates who successfully complete the PhD degree may continue their academic careers in relevant departments of universities, provided they meet institutional requirements. |
| EXAMINATION REGULATIONS, ASSESSMENT AND GRADING |

| Attendance is compulsory. Students exceeding 30% absenteeism in any course are deemed unsuccessful. Grades are calculated as: 40% Midterm Exam and 60% Final Exam. Assessment in practicum courses includes performance in applied work and evaluation of submitted reports. |

| The program provides 1 classroom and 1 seminar room, as well as 5 counseling rooms for individual and group counseling practices. All classrooms and seminar rooms are equipped with projection systems and computers. A computer laboratory with full internet access and an educational library is also available. Student mobility is provided through Erasmus agreements with foreign universities. Students have access to on-campus dormitories, dining, and social/sports facilities. Graduates may be employed in public and private institutions providing psychological counseling services. |
